My wife and I booked with Ricardo/Mauric who was very helpful. We stayed at Pousada Mar do Leste - small hotel in a cool village on the beach. Our travel in was made hectic because of riots in the Beunos Aires airport and we had to keep changing arrival times/dates - which they were accomodating for (and did their best to refund unused stay/car fees). When I left to continue our travels, I was unable to affordably ship my board to a forwarding location so ended up having to sell it. Mauricio was VERY helpful with this and settled out collecting $$$ for the sale and then settling on paypal with me. Good guys, good service, fun place, beautiful beaches, great food and pretty good waves.

Brazil is an excellent time.. Myself and three friends are all 24 years old and we had a blast learning to surf in Floripa. The beaches are amazing and so are the women! The nightlife was insane and Mauricio is a great guy- we were picked up and dropped off at the airport (even though we got off at the wrong one) and every morning he was there to bring us to our surf lessons... even though we were half asleep. Excellent time, will definitely do it again.

Learning to surf with Brazil Surf Travel was great! First of all Surf teacher Evandro made me comfortable with the water, which I was scared of in the first place. He goes through basic steps from the first until you catch your first wave! A wicked Experience by the way! Thank you Evandro and Brazil Surf Travel for your knowledge of surf.

Basic knowledge about waves and surfing and safety.Teaching was very personal and professional, and atmosphere in lessons was good. After 4 days practicing we feel we can now continue surfing on own or at least try...We want to thank our good and smiling teacher Evandro dos Santos and Brazil Surf Travel staff. I just want to thank Mauricio at Brazil Surf Travel for making my trip to Florianopolis a lot smoother! My flight from the U.S. to Sao Paulo was delayed 12 hours and there was no way to make my connections to Florianopolis or tell my Brazilian friend of the situation who would be meeting me in Sao Paulo. One call to Mauricio took care of the whole situation and I am very grateful. He changed all my flights for myself and my freind and explained everything to her.
Once there, I was very pleased with my accomodations and BST was always available 24/7 in case I needed them. This made me feel at home so far away from my real home.
In addition, I think Florianopolis exceeded my expectations by far for beauty, surf quality, the city etc...
I will definitely plan to back some day!
Tchau...

First of all, I wanted to let you know that my wife and I really enjoyed our trip to Florianopolis. Everything went smoothly which is largely attributed to Mauricio’s excellent handling of the arrangements. The Praia Mole Hotel recommendation was absolutely perfect! The location was very convenient to the shops and restaurants around the lake but the main attraction of course was Praia Mole. Florianopolis attracted me because I could windsurf there (wind permitting) but the island also offered a multitude of other activities for the sports enthusiast. The one activity, however, that really appealed to me was just relaxing on the beach. Both of us just needed some "downtime" to unwind and take it easy for awhile and Praia Mole became our beach of choice. We did drive around the island and visit the many other beautiful beaches but Praia Mole was our favorite.
Another reason that I wanted to make Florianopolis our first visit to Brazil was for it's reputation as being a very safe area for tourists and residents alike. My wife had a somewhat distorted impression that Brazil, in general, was very dangerous. This unfortunately, is what makes headlines in the press and of course watching City of God didn't help. I wanted her to experience what Brazil is really like and Florianopolis was a good place to start.
Personally, I would rate this trip very highly and I was very satisfied the services offered by BrazilSurfTravel.
